The only alien captured by the abductors who never escaped, the blob guy questions his identity now that he has had so many things fused (duct taped) to him by the abductors. Unable to move around easily, all he can do is tell other captured aliens about the escape route through the ventilation system to the escape pod. The blob guy has little nubs above his eyes.
