The Meekrob are beings of pure energy. During Zim's holographic simulation designed to get Dib to admit he threw the muffin, some Meekrob aliens visit Dib and give him super powers. They consider themselves higher than physical beings, as seen with the way they changed their form into shoes while visiting Dib, assuming that he couldn't comprehend their alien form. Their home planet, also called Meekrob, is being invaded by Invader Tenn.

Had the series continued, Tenn would've been caught by the Meekrob, leading to an assault by all the other invaders.
